
76th Independence Day Celebration and Annual Prize Distribution Function
The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, marked the 76th Independence Day with grandeur and patriotic fervor. The event was combined with the Annual Prize Distribution Function, making it a day of double celebration – honoring the nation and recognizing the academic and co-curricular achievements of students.
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem. The atmosphere was filled with pride and patriotism as students and faculty paid homage to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s independence.
A vibrant cultural programme was organized, featuring patriotic songs, traditional dances, skits, and poetry recitations that showcased the talent of the students. The highlight of the event was the colorful dance performance by university students, symbolizing unity in diversity and the spirit of freedom.
The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was also held, where meritorious students were felicitated for their excellence in academics, sports, and cultural activities. Certificates, medals, and awards were presented by dignitaries, motivating students to continue striving for success.
Chief Guest Prof. Rajbir Singh, along with faculty members, applauded the efforts of the students and emphasized the importance of education, discipline, and patriotism in shaping responsible citizens.
